Facility

The transformation of a truck repair shop into a true learning center for Chinese culture is no small task. During the three months prior to the opening of the Academy, volunteers completed renovation projects including spackling and repainting the walls, replacing the floors, hanging large wooden doors, building a shrine and more. The Chinese furniture and carved wood in the facility were graciously provided by John Hsu and other members of the Asian community. 100% of the labor was provided by SHMKF students. While smaller renovation projects continue, we are very proud of what the Academy offers today.

Rent the Academy

The Academy of Chinese Martial & Cultural Arts is an ideal space for yoga and movement teachers seeking hourly rental to conduct classes or practioners wanting to host a specialty workshop in a beautiful and accomodating location. Activities may be marketed in the Academy’s quarterly newsletter or on the ACMCA website. Other marketing opportunities may exist including cross promotion with other subleases.
