Colorado’s Resource for Chinese Cultural Arts
The Academy of Chinese Martial and Cultural Arts is a key resource for programs, activities and events related to Chinese martial and cultural arts in the greater Boulder/Denver region. A 501(3)(C) non-profit organization, the Academy is designed to have broad appeal, not only to the Chinese community, but to all communities. Regularly scheduled programs in Shaolin Hung Mei Kung Fu, Dragon and Lion performance training, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and medicinal care are offered at the Academy. Moreover, the Academy sponsors/hosts many special events, including demonstrations, exhibitions, seminars and workshops.
Featured Program
The Gu Feng Tai Chi Club is a non-profit organization. The mission of the club is to promote long term Tai Chi practice for physical and spiritual well being. Whenever possible, instruction is given in both Chinese and English. Communicating traditional Chinese culture is one of the important activities of the Club. Shaolin Hung Mei PerformancesCelebrate Chinese culture with SHMKF as they perform traditional Lion Dance and Kung Fu at venues across the front range. This year marks the Shaolin Hung Mei Kung Fu Association’s 16th consecutive year performing for thousands of people throughout the state, helping members of the Chinese American community connect with their heritage and introducing countless others to one of the oldest and most diverse cultures in the world.
